Update: March 17, 2020 – All weekend and weekday Masses have been cancelled as well as all parish functions and meetings until further notice.

Bishop Christian Riesbeck, CC, Bishop of Saint John, in consultation with the Catholic Bishops of New Brunswick have decided that beginning March 21st to cancel all Saturday evening and Sunday Masses in all four New Brunswick dioceses.  Masses for the weekend of March 14th and 15th will continue as scheduled.

Catechism classes will also be suspended until further notice.

Weekday Masses as well as baptisms, funerals or weddings will be celebrated as long as they respect the limit of 150 people, as recommended by the New Brunswick provincial health authorities.

The Catholic people of the Diocese of Saint John are asked to watch Mass on television, pray the rosary, read the Scriptures, or otherwise pray as long as Sunday Mass is not possible.  These preventative measures are designed to protect the most vulnerable amoung us from being infected with COVID-19.
